Amy and Daniel – Cheswick, Pennsylvania
Amy and Daniel – Cheswick, Pennsylvania We are Amy and Daniel from Cheswick, Pennsylvania. We got married in 2007 and were both believers. We had two beautiful children and were very involved in our church. From the outside, everything looked fine, but we were dealing with so much behind closed doors. We both brought unresolved wounds into our marriage. I (Amy) struggled with insecurity and fear. Daniel had his own past hurts and anger issues that neither of us really knew how to navigate. Communication was hard. Trust was shaky. We loved each other but didn’t know how to love each other well. We didn’t understand God’s design for marriage, and we slowly drifted apart. In 2019, things came to a breaking point. We were arguing all the time. I felt rejected. Daniel felt misunderstood. We were both hurting and didn’t have the tools to fix it. Daniel told me he didn’t love me anymore and wanted a divorce. I was devastated. I begged him to stay. I tried to reason with him, but his heart was closed. He moved out and filed for divorce. I didn’t know what to do, so I turned to God like never before. I cried, fasted, and prayed. I read every Bible verse on marriage and stood on God’s promises. One day, I found the Standing Supernaturally Facebook group. I joined and started reading testimonies. I felt like I wasn’t alone anymore. I wasn’t crazy for believing that God could restore my marriage. I signed up for the 5-Day Challenge and then joined the Academy. Everything Jason taught lined up with what the Lord had already been showing me. I realized this stand was not just about my marriage — it was about my heart. God started showing me the ways I had contributed to the dysfunction in our relationship. He asked me to repent, release control, and trust Him completely. That was hard for me. I wanted to fix everything. But God kept telling me, “Let me work on Daniel. You focus on Me.” It was hard seeing Daniel move on with life like nothing happened. He dated other women. He was cold and distant. But I kept praying. I wrote declarations. I anointed his clothes. I worshiped in our empty house. I chose to believe even when everything looked hopeless. My pastor told me I was wasting my time. Friends said I should move on. But I knew what God had promised. I knew Daniel was my husband, and that this divorce wasn’t the end of our story. Then, suddenly, things shifted. Daniel reached out to talk. He said he had been having dreams about me and couldn’t shake the feeling that he had made a mistake. We started talking more. I didn’t push him. I let God lead. He told me he wanted to come home. I nearly fainted. I asked him to go to counseling with me, and he agreed. We got remarried on the exact date of our original wedding anniversary. It was the most beautiful, redemptive moment of my life. God didn’t just restore our marriage — He gave us a new one, built on Him. We pray together now. We serve together. We talk openly and with kindness. It’s not perfect, but it’s real and it’s holy. If you are standing, don’t give up. God is the God of resurrection. He can heal what looks dead. Stay faithful. Stay humble. Stay in His Word. He is working behind the scenes even when you can’t see it. Don’t stop standing. Restoration is real. We are living proof.
