God Is Equipping You to Stand With His Power
God Is Equipping You to Stand With His Power 1 Peter 3:14–15 (AMP) But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed… Always be ready to give a reason for the hope that is in you. This week, we are stepping into something very intentional as we begin the Standing For Marriage Restoration 5 Day Challenge. This is not just another week of encouragement or something to listen to and move on from. This is a week where God wants to actively equip you for your stand in a deeper and more powerful way than before. One of the biggest shifts that needs to happen for many people standing for their marriage is moving from trying to being equipped. Many people are exhausted because they are trying to hold everything together in their own strength. They are trying to stay strong, trying to believe, trying to manage their emotions, and trying not to fall apart when things do not change. But trying will always lead to burnout. God never designed your stand to be sustained by effort alone. He designed it to be sustained by His power working in you. What God wants to do in you this week is train and strengthen you so that your stand becomes steady, not fragile. He wants to anchor you in truth so that you are not constantly shaken by what you see or hear. When you truly understand why you are standing, not based on feelings but based on covenant and the hope God placed inside you, it changes everything. That hope becomes something you can hold onto even when circumstances do not make sense. At the same time, God is growing your faith through this process. The challenges you are facing are not a sign that something is wrong. They are part of what is producing endurance in you. Scripture tells us that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness, and that means God is actually building something in you that will be necessary for the restoration you are believing for. He is preparing you, not just for your spouse to return, but for a marriage that is stronger and healthier than before. This week, you will also be reminded how to stay consistent in hope, patience, and prayer. These are not just good ideas, they are how you stay aligned with what God is doing. When you remain joyful in hope, patient through difficulty, and faithful in prayer, you are not just waiting, you are actively partnering with God in the process of restoration. Another area God wants to strengthen is your peace. There will always be opportunities to become anxious, discouraged, or overwhelmed, especially when things feel uncertain or when opposition comes. But God promises that He will keep you in perfect peace when your mind is fixed on Him. Learning to stay in that place of peace is part of how you stand with His strength instead of your own. God is also working deeply in your heart during this time. Restoration is not just about your spouse coming back. It is about both of you being healed and made whole. God knows the pain you have experienced, and He is not ignoring it. He is healing it so that when restoration comes, it is not built on past wounds, but on wholeness and truth. As you go through this week, it is important to recognize that God is doing more than you can see. He is not only working in you, He is also working in your spouse. Even if there are no visible signs right now, God is able to reach their heart in ways you cannot. Your role is to stay aligned with Him, to stay equipped, and to continue standing in faith. This week is not just about learning something new. It is about allowing God to change how you stand. Let Him strengthen you. Let Him teach you. Let Him equip you so that you are no longer standing in your own ability, but in His power. And as He does that, trust that He is also preparing the way for the restoration of your marriage.
