Believing For Restoration When We Can’t Fathom How Job 9:10 (NIV) — “He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.” As a pastor, I often hear people passionately object to reading the Book of Job. I hear, “I don’t receive anything about Job. I don’t want to experience anything he experienced, and I’m not cracking open that book!” But there’s a verse in Job that I want every stander to look at, meditate on, and even memorize. Job 9:10 says, “He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.” In the middle of an extremely tough situation, Job made this extraordinary proclamation that you must embrace today if you are going to stand supernaturally for your marriage. The first part of this verse highlights God’s ability to perform wonders that cannot be fathomed. One translation says, “too marvelous to understand.” For many of us, our problem in this season of separation from our spouse is that we can’t understand and mentally comprehend what is happening and how God can actually fix things. I’m asking you today to embrace this truth and allow the Lord to do something you can’t fathom or mentally get your head around. Be encouraged by the fact that God performs incredible wonders that are beyond your comprehension. Don’t worry if you cannot understand how your spouse will come home — put your faith in God’s promise that He performs wonders that sometimes you cannot fathom. The second part of this uplifting verse reminds us that God performs “miracles that cannot be counted.” I hear all the time (whether it’s in our Facebook group, our Monthly Membership Program, our twelve-week e-course called the Standing Supernaturally Academy, or during a one-on-one counseling session) a big, extensive laundry list of all the things that must take place before restoration can happen. I see people mentally create a massive list of things God has to do, and they allow that giant list to overwhelm them and create doubt. Today I want to remind you of this part of Job 9:10 — that God performs miracles so large, so numerous, they cannot even be counted! So don’t worry if there are a lot of things that need to be healed in your marriage. It’s okay. God can perform every single miracle required for restoration to occur. Yes, you might not be able to comprehend how God’s going to restore your marriage. But understand this. He performs wonders that we can’t fathom. And if you need a large list of miracles for restoration to occur, the great news is that He still performs miracles — too many to be counted. He is this good. I believe if today you stand on the truth that our wonder-working God is far greater than you can understand, you will experience hope and faith rise into your life and enable you to stand supernaturally for your marriage. I want you to spend today being okay with NOT knowing how your breakthrough will manifest. Allow the reality that you have a God who will perform astounding acts that are too numerous to count, and know He will bring restoration to you and your family. How can I say this?
